This is what a bathroom remodel looks like before the pretty stuff happens. Walls stripped down, framing exposed, plumbing rough-in visible - this is the stage where the real decisions get made and the real work gets done.
We pulled the old shower out completely to make way for a tub conversion. That means repositioning supply lines, updating the drain location, and framing the new enclosure walls so everything is square, plumb, and built to last. The copper supply lines and PEX runs you can see here are all part of getting the plumbing exactly where it needs to be before anything gets closed up.
This is the stage most contractors rush through - and that's where problems show up later. We slow down here on purpose. If the framing isn't right, nothing that goes on top of it will be right either. Tile, fixtures, backer board - it all depends on what happens at this step.
A bathroom remodel is one of the best investments you can make in your home. But it only pays off if the bones are solid. Getting into the walls is actually an opportunity - it lets us inspect what's there, fix what needs fixing, and set the next owner of this space up for decades of trouble-free use.
We're excited to see this one come together. The transformation from here to finished is going to be significant.
