Kitchen and Laundry Room Remodel That Changed the Whole House

We just wrapped up a full kitchen and laundry remodel - and honestly, it's one of those jobs where you walk through the finished space and it just hits different. The homeowner said it best: it makes the whole house feel different. That's exactly what a well-executed remodel should do.

The kitchen was the centerpiece. We installed cream shaker-style cabinetry from floor to ceiling, paired with a warm walnut-toned island base that gives the whole space a two-tone look that feels custom without being overdone. The white stone countertops run throughout, tying everything together. A custom-built range hood finished in the same cream as the uppers anchors the cooking zone and gives the kitchen that real focal point it was missing before. We also added floating wood shelves on either side of the hood - a small detail that adds warmth and breaks up all that tile.

Speaking of tile - the backsplash runs the full height of the wall behind the range, all the way to the ceiling. That's the kind of finish carpentry and cabinetry coordination that takes planning. Every cabinet run, every upper, every crown detail had to be laid out so the tile work could flow behind it cleanly. That stuff matters.

The laundry room got the same attention. Matching shaker cabinets, a utility sink with stone countertop, and a bold black-and-white diamond tile floor that gives the room its own personality. It's a small space, but it doesn't feel like an afterthought anymore.

Before-and-afters are coming soon, and they're going to tell a story. Two spaces, completely reworked - the kind of work that adds real value and makes everyday living a whole lot better.
